Crops are carried out in protected structures of different types depending on the species and the season in which it is realised the production cycle:
Greenhouses
equipped with heating, lighting, shading and insulation
systems, for forcing crop even out of season (e.g. Euphorbia
fulgens). These structures allow to program blooming
according to the market needs.
Tunnels
open on the sides, with plastic film roofs. The side panels
are made of windbreak nets. In these structures are produced
crops in the summer cycle in a cool, well ventilated
ambience(e.g. Eustoma). They are also suitable for the
production of autumn-winter crops thermally less demanding
(e.g. buttercup from meristem).
Harvest.
The flowers are collected each day, paying close attention
to the level of optimum flowering, after a brief cooling in
refrigerators are packed in accordance with the criteria
established by the Sanremo Flower Market.
Flower Packaging
takes place with a semiautomatic line that promotes the
standardization of products, which are placed on the market
after a short period of conditioning with preserving
solutions and at low temperature.
